Have you recently lost your job and turned your focus to finding assistance to get back into the workforce? If so, the Golden State Education and Training Grant Program (GSETGP) could be just what you’re looking for.

The program supports Californians who lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic with a one-time $2,500 grant to reskill, up-skill, and access education or training programs to return to the workforce. For many California workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the program can help them back on their feet and into a rewarding career.

How to Apply

You can apply online at gsetg.csac.ca.gov by logging into your CSAC Account. If you do not have an account, you can create one using the “first-time user” registration option on the website.

Once you apply and are found to meet the program requirements, SDSU and California Student Aid Commission will work together to verify that you are enrolled at SDSU, which triggers the payment process. From enrollment verification, it will take at least six to eight weeks for you to be deemed eligible and receive your funding.
