Rio de Janeiro Inequality, Activism and Sustainability in Brazil
This program is particularly relevant because now, more than ever before, polarizing issues around ethnicity, gender, and class have resulted in individual and community unrest, conflict, and turmoil. As part of the course, there are several cultural activities, course-related field trips, and travel excursions included.

Mexico

Mérida, MexicoCulture, Art, and Society in Mérida
Mérida, the vibrant capital of the Mexican state of Yucatán, has a rich Mayan and colonial heritage. The city’s focal point is Plaza de la Independencia, bordered by the fortresslike Mérida Cathedral and Iglesia de la Tercera Orden, both colonial-era churches built using relics from ancient Mayan temples.

Peru

Cusco PeruGlobal Public Health in Cusco, Peru
This three-week course will expose students to public health issues in the beautiful mountainous state of Cusco. Students will be staying in the homes of Peruvian families, and will engage with local communities to address public health issues. Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire, provides a beautiful setting to learn about Incan, Spanish, and contemporary Peruvian cultures.
