Dawn Myers heads up the HR Department of the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter and has been with Stanford Hotels since her hire in 2002. A 20-year veteran of the human resources field, with hotel, nonprofit, and retail experience. One of her career highlights was facilitating the placement of Clarion associates in positions at other downtown hotels by coordinating a job fair that schooled the associates in resume writing and interview finesse prior to the hotel closing for its rebuild. In addition to serving on the advisory board of SDSU’s Professional Certificate in Human Resource Management program, Myers is president of the San Diego Hospitality Human Resources Association. She has been married for 28 never-boring years and has two grown sons that she adores.
