Dari DeSousa is a long-time hospitality human resources professional. She works for Marriott International in San Diego as a senior work environment manager, addressing workplace issues in the San Diego and California desert markets. Her focus areas are: employee engagement, labor relations, and leadership development. She received Marriott’s Excellence in Leadership award in 2016, which recognizes top HR talent for innovative work; and Marriott’s Spirit to Serve award in 2007 for her significant community service. DeSousa is on Marriott’s Children’s Miracle Network Advisory Board representing the San Diego Business Council, and is the treasurer (and past vice president and president) of the San Diego Hospitality Human Resources Association where she has been an active board member since 2007. DeSousa is a 1998 alumni of SDSU’s Professional Certificate in Human Resource Management program.
