About the Program

Economics analyzes the ways in which individuals and societies decide what to produce, how to produce it, and who gets those products. Because this field of study deals with the fundamental issues of our material well-being, it also examines the reasons why some individuals and societies have wealth, while others do not. This also makes economics a powerful tool for analyzing the costs and benefits of decisions, and how those decisions can affect all members of our society.
